Beginning as fully matured Maker’s Mark at cask strength, Private Selection is created by adding 10 custom wood finishing staves to each barrel. It’s then aged in a limestone cellar to extract a unique, flavourful taste profile. This is a beautifully light and well- balanced whiskey. Expect aromas of honeysuckle, ripe ambrosia apples and wafts of vanilla bean. There is a subtle sweetness on the palate with butterscotch and honey balanced with the drier flavours of toasty oak. The finish caresses the palate with gentle sweet spicy notes that linger long after the last sip.
