94. Bomberger’s Declaration Small Batch Bourbon
This 2023 release continues the Bomberger’s tradition of offering bold and beautiful 108-proof Kentucky straight bourbon with a rich and layered complexity due to a portion of the bourbon being aged in Chinquapin ( Quercus muehlenbergii ) oak. The Chinquapin oak utilized for the aging was naturally air dried and seasoned for three years before being toasted and charred to the exacting specifications of Bomberger’s Master of Maturation Andrea Wilson. In addition, some malted rye was used in the production of this bourbon. This is a bold and rich whiskey featuring its signature fruit and spice coupled with rich molasses and a complex, lingering finish that gives you something to savour.

95. Booker’s Little Book Chapter 7: In Retrospect Little Book Chapter 7, “In Retrospect,” is the seventh chapter in the Little Book Whiskey series. Little Book Chapter 7 is a blend of seven different liquid streams, blending one liquid from each of the previous chapters, then adding a record seventh. “In Retrospect” is a nod to the past but also sets the course for what’s next, not only for Little Book, but Freddie’s continued journey as Eighth Generation Master Distiller of the Fred B. Noe Distillery. Aroma: Subtle sweetness with notes of clove spice. Taste: Slightly floral with light smoke and sweet vanilla, followed by caramel.
