The Single Malts of Scotland Reserve Casks are a flavour- led exploration of fine single malts, bottled in small batches of three to ten casks. A small batch of four refill butts from Ben Nevis distillery has been used to create this Highland single malt, distilled in 2013 and aged for nine years. Fat and rich, with dusty dark chocolate and sultanas. Dried mango coated in chocolate and hazelnuts. Beautifully thick, with charred marshmallow and kirsch chocolates. Almonds and dried fruit build and develop with more melted chocolate. The dried mango becomes more pronounced with mandarin.

Matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and enhanced by hand-selected Apostoles and amoroso sherry casks. Aromas of rich maple syrup, fresh pain au chocolat, dark citrus, nutmeg, and antique leather top notes. On the palate are caramelized poached pears, Seville orange, Madagascan vanilla, baked apples, moist ginger cake, and rich Brazil nuts. The finish is of dark cacao powder, grilled pineapple, bergamot, black liquorice, and spices.
