This whisky is inspired by Jing’s Phoenix Honey Orchid, a complex tea with lush dessert wine aromas and tropical fruit notes. Predominantly matured in sherry-seasoned American oak casks, the whisky has drawn fruity and floral flavours, beautifully balanced by the inclusion of sherry-seasoned European oak, which offers a pleasing roasted richness and a touch of astringency. The subtle inclusion of casks that previously held bourbon adds a final sweetness, emulating the dessert wine aromas found in this tea that inspires this single malt.
