Golden Promise Single Malt The Yamazaki Golden Promise is composed from Golden Promise barley. First grown in Scotland in the 1960s, this variety is revered for its flavour and malting characteristics. Combined with aging in American oak casks, the nuances of the Yamazaki base are accentuated through a malty and rich character, with sweet, fruity, and citrus notes.
Solist Vinho Barrique Single Cask Strength Single Malt Vinho is fully matured in used American oak wine barrels that have been toasted and recharred in a way that brings out fruity vanilla notes from the wood into the whisky overlaid on a delicate background of complex fruitiness. It has a complex and multi-dimensional background of pepper, spice, dates, and other fruits, such as ripe melon and mango together with kiwi and a delicate blend of bursting citrus fruits. Expression No.1 in this series exquisitely brings out the aroma of tropical fruits unique to Kavalan, creating a soft and thick multi-layered taste. Its aroma is long-lasting, lingering with creamy toffee, woodiness, and vanilla notes. A long finish with notes of sweetness.
Islay Peated Single Malt Islay peat imparts one of scotch whisky’s most distinctive flavours, venerated globally for its distinctive smokiness. The Yamazaki Islay Peated Malt balances the smoky quality with a characteristic sweetness, borne from the unique water and maturation processes that define Yamazaki whisky. This marriage of traditions is especially present on the nose, where gentle smoke meets a hint of biscuit.
