18-Year-Old Single Malt
From Suntory’s mountain forest distillery, nestled deep in Mt. Kaikomagatake, Hakushu is the crisp and gently smoky single malt whisky with herbal notes that is the revelation of Japanese single malts. Aromas of ripe pear, dried mint, oregano, and a hint of smoke lead to a palate of jasmine, mango, quince, and menthol that finishes long and pleasantly smoky with a hint of bitterness.

12-Year-Old Single Malt “Fragrant and herbal aromas, with pine needles, basil, green bell pepper, pea pod, black truffle, peppercorn, and smoke from smoldering dry mosses and wood shavings. It’s very smooth and refreshing, with pear, peppermint, lemon, lime, green tea, kiwi, and herbal notes, finishing with chopped mint, more herbal layers, and gentle peppery spice. A unique composition and a quintessential Japanese whisky experience.”
90. Hibiki 21-Year-Old “Deep layers of vanilla and mizunara oak with sugar sprinkled pastries, incense sticks, oiled wood, tatami, dried apricot, golden sultana, and faint smoky spiciness. Nectarous mouthfeel with honey, barley sugar, dried citrus, orange peel, and delicate spices, it continues to sweeten beautifully showing vanilla, sugared almonds, banana custard, with hints of ginger and gentle oak. Slightly gummy finish as the vanilla quenches little eruptions of wood spices.”
