Red Wine Cask Finish “Intensely aromatic with baked and stewed apples, vanilla fudge and hints of toffee. Rich, vibrant and balanced with coffee, soft spice and a sweet woodsmoke that lingers in the background on the finish.”
First Fill Oloroso Cask Matured This whisky is the second expression from Isle of Harris Distillery. Initially there are winter aromas of cinnamon, orange peel, and cloves recalling Christmas at home. Walnuts and fireside wood smoke grace the palate as the dram develops with a hint of thyme, closely followed by dried oranges. Spices come through, like vanilla pods and a subtle hint of cloves, before a long leather and liquorice finish.
